Diesel DatabaseUpdated May 04, 2008NOTICE: Due to high gas prices, we would like to avoid asking stations to drive to the small, rural towns in Linn County that remain to be surveyed to complete our database. Instead, we are looking to the Amateurs that live in those towns to provide this data. See the list below for the towns that need to be surveyed. Please provide the station brand name, street address if possible, and whether they carry Diesel, Propane, and/or have Emergency Power. PurposeDuring a recent winter storm, it was observed that there was not a good source of dealers or service stations that could supply Diesel fuel in the event of an emergency. Follow up discussions determined that it would be useful to build a database of dealers that could supply Diesel fuel or Propane, and if a station has backup emergency power. Linn County ARES would like your help in building a database of stations and dealers that can supply (and especially deliver) diesel fuel and/or propane and whether they may do so if commercial power is lost. Provide updates to Steve Jones, WA6GFD AT aol . com. We will attempt to keep the web site current with any updates, to avoid duplication of effort. The current Database of stations and dealers was compiled from the telephone directory plus individual inputs. If a field is blank, we need information on that station. Also, not all possible stations may be listed, or may have recently changed their names.
